Notes: Dry Creek is a popular trailhead with hikers and horse riders, located in the northeast corner of Alpine. It is one of the few trailheads left in Alpine that does not cross private land and is assured of never being cut off by development. The trailhead is at the end of the road that goes past the Alpine Rodeo Grounds.

Notes: At the point where the ridgeline to your left turns and heads south up the mountain, go to the ridgeline for a great view of Horsetail Falls. This is a good turning around point if you’re out for a short hike.

Box Elder South Peak
 Elevation: 10610  Feature: Peak
Notes: If you get anywhere near the south saddle of Box Elder and decide you can not go on, consider turning south and heading for this peak. It is not as high and you can get great shots of Box Elder or down the rugged Tank Canyon into AF Canyon.
