Silver Lake (Big Cottonwood)

Silver Lake is the easiest hike in WasatchHiker.com. You get out of your car, walk through the visitor’s center, then another 5 minutes outside and you’re at the lake. There’s a boardwalk around half the lake, where you can fish or watch the ducks. This hike is perfect for families with really young children. To make it more challenging, a trail takes off at the north end of the lake that leads to other lakes, reservoirs and peaks. There are also a few picnic tables near the visitor’s center. |
