Notes: Look for the big Y on the mountain above Provo. Head toward the base. The trailhead is located at approximately 900 Terrace Dr Provo.

Notes: This is a good beginner hike to get a feel for what it’s like to climb Wasatch trails.

Bear Flat
 Elevation: 7400  Feature: Meadow
Notes: After climbing past the Y and through Slide Canyon, this meadow is a good place to stop before continuing on. It is also a good place to set up camp on an overnighter.

Lion Head
 Elevation: 8981  Feature: Peak
Notes: Lion Head is a highpoint in the valley between Maple Mountain and Provo Peak.
