Hiking in Little Cottonwood Canyon

Little Cottonwood Canyon

Getting There: East on 9400 S (SR210) in Salt Lake County
Entrance Fee: None Dogs Not Allowed
Notes: Little Cottonwood Canyon was not initially used for timber because of a nearly impassable canyon mouth. Mining was a different story. Several town came and went throughout the canyon’s mining history. Alta is the largest remaining one. The canyon is part of the Salt Lake watershed, so no dogs are allowed in the canyon.
