Bells Canyon

Bells Canyon can be the gateway to many great destinations. Most of them will require a long strenuous day. From this trailhead, you can get to Lone Peak, Bighorn (Upper Bell’s Canyon Peak, Lake Hardy, South and North Thunder Mountains. The falls are my favorite part of the hike. I’ve only been up there in autumn. I can’t wait to see them in the spring – I bet they take your breath away.

Hi Robert, I see the awesome photos you frequently post on the Wasatch Peak Baggers Facebook page, including the winter ascent of the north face of Lone Peak. You get to more places, more often, than anyone I know. Thanks for sharing your experiences with the rest of us.

  3. Lone Peak is usually climbed from June through Sept. Winter ascents are possible, but may require a multi-day outing, better planning and much more effort.
